The Hampshire Countryside Day will return to the stunning Bereleigh Estate in East Meon, near Petersfield on Sunday 15 September 2024
This year, the event will feature an array of packs at the Hound Parade, including:- the Hursley Hambledon Hunt, Hampshire Hunt, Sandhurst & Aldershot Beagles, and Palmer, Marlborough & Clinkard Meon Beagles, along with the Sealyham Terriers.
The Hunt Scurry will return with its fast-paced inter-hunt relay
Other attractions include a Gun Dog Scurry which will feature classic classes like ‘over the bales’, ‘mark and memory’, and ‘hurry up’.
Open to all breeds of gundogs, the competition offers the chance to win rosettes and dog food vouchers for the top three in each class, generously sponsored by Skinners, BASC and Sporting Saint.
Finally The Lurcher and Terrier Show, hosted by The Coursing Crew, promises excitement with simulated coursing and straight racing. Dogs of various sizes, including over 23″, 23″ & under, and under 21″, as well as puppies (9-12 months) and whippets & terriers, will compete in thrilling races. The Working Clumber Spaniel Society will also be in attendance this year. Meet their team and discover more about their work.
